Staff Correspondent: Six people have been awarded with death penalty and two life term imprisonment for killing Awami League leader Mohammad Ullah and his driver Harun.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Jahidul Kabir gave the verdict on Tuesday.
The death penalty convicts are - Raihan Khokan, Zakir Hossain alias Kala Zakir, Md. Javed alias Prince, Arif Hossain, Md. Jumman and Hira.
Those sentenced to life term imprisonment are Shariful and Amir Hossain.
Mohammad Ullah was a freedom fighter and senior vice president of Kadamtali Thana unit of Awami League.
