66 UNOs to get new Mitsubishi Pajero jeeps

Special Correspondent: The government is going to allot 66 new Mitsubishi Pajero sports QX jeeps to the Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO) to bring pace in the activities in upazila administration level.
Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase has approved the proposal at cabinet division’s conference room on Wednesday, with Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak in the chair.
The government will have to spend Tk59.60 crore to buy the 66 vehicles. The price for the each jeep will be Tk90.31 lakh.
Cabinet members, senior secretaries of the cabinet division and officials of the concerned ministries attended the meeting.
