69 held in Satkhira police drive

Satkhira Correspondent: Police, in special drives from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, arrested 69 persons, including 20 activists of BNP and Jamaat-Shibir men from eight upazilas of the district.

District police officials said they were picked up from different areas of the district on various charges.

During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 15 persons, Kalaroa police 13 persons, Tala Police four persons, Kaliganj police four persons, Shyamnagar police 17 persons, Assasuni police six persons, Patkelghata police four persons and Debhata police six persons.

Inspector of Satkhira district police Special Branch Azam Khan confirmed the matter.
