Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: At least seven Rohingyas have died in two separate incidents of trawler and boat capsizes.
The incidents took place in Imamer Dail area of Jaliapalong union under Ukhia upazila and Maheshkhaliapara of Teknaf on Tuesday morning.
Ukhiya Police Station Office-in-Charge Abul Khayer four people died after a boat capsized in Imamer Dail point area around 10.30am.
He said, “We managed to rescue 32 Rohingyas and they were taken to a local health complex where three were declared dead”.
Teknaf Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Moinuddin Khan said three children died after a boat capsized in Maheshkhaliapara around 11.00am.
He said: “After receiving the news, a team of police went to the spot and recovered the bodies.”
