7 more Rohingya bodies recovered from Naf river

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent:  Seven more bodies of Rohingya people, who tried to enter Bangladesh to escape persecution in Myanmar, have been recovered from the Naf river.

Bodies of five people including four children were recovered from Shah Pori Dwip point of the river and bodies of two women from Najirpara of Teknaf sadar union. 

Bodies of 99 people, who died from Rohingya boat capsize incidents, have been recovered since August 25. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station Mohammad Main Uddin Khan informed by locals, the law enforcers recovered the bodies.

Lakhs of Rohingya refugees have fled into Bangladesh since August to escape the spate of crackdown by Myanmar’s military forces in the Rakhine state.

On their way across the Bay of Bengal, incidents of boat capsize have taken on multiple occasions including the latest one.
