71 defeated BNP candidates file cases with HC

Staff Correspondent: Seventy-one defeated candidates of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) filed cases with the election tribunal of the High Court (HC), challenging results of December 30 polls results and seeking fresh polls.

Besides BNP men, three candidates of Jatiya Oikyafront and a contester of Progressive Democratic Party (PDB) also filed cases on the same ground.

The cases were filed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, according to lawyers including Barrister Ruhul Kuddus, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Barrister Sanjida Chowdhury and Barrister AKM Ehsandur Rahman.
