8 get life-term for killing in Sirajganj

Sirajganj Correspondent: A Sirajganj court awarded life term imprisonment to eight people for killing a man named Ibrahim in 2007.
Sirajganj district and session judge court magistrate Jafrul Hasan passed the order on Tuesday afternoon.
The court also fined them Tk 10,000, in default of which they have to suffer one year more in prison.
The convicts are- Shamim, 35, son of Sakhawat Hossain, Rabbani, 32, son of Soleman Ali, Mintu Pramanik, 33, son of Rahiz Pramanik, Kalam, 32, son of Hazrat Ali, Dudu Pramanik, 30, son of Abdul Jalil, Ziaur Rahman, 28, Abdus Samad Sheikh, 32, Jahirul Islam, 25, son of Shefat Ali.
District session judge court Public Prosecutor Advocate Abdur Rahman confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
According to the case statement, the convicts picked Ibrahim Khalil forcefully from his home on November 30, 2007.
Later, the body was found in Azad Mazlis club area in Gram Pangasi Bazar of Raiganj upazila.
