8 killed in Chattogram road crash

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: At least eight people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and micro-bus in the district on Wednesday midnight.

The accident took place around 1.15am in Chunti Jailar Teck area of Dhaka- Chattogram highway.

According to sources, a bus of Relax Paribahan collided head on with a micro-bus, leaving eight passengers of the micro-bus leaving dead on the spot.

At least 20 passengers of the bus were also injured.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Duty Officer of Lohagara Thana ASI Mainuddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
