8 recommendations for safe journey ahead of Eid

Staff Correspondent: Nou, Sarak, O Railkhat Rokkha Jatiya Committee (national committee to protect river, road and rail sector) placed eight recommendations for safe journey ahead of Eid-ul-fitr. 

The organization came up with the recommendations in a press conference at capital's Paltan on Wednesday.

Haji Mohammad Shahid Mia, advisor member of the committee presided over the programme where Ashis Kumar Dey, convenor of Nou, Sarak O Railkhat Rokkha Jatiya Committee read out the written speech.

Of the eight recommendations- fulltime Mobile Court in all bus terminals, harder steps against over loaded bus, launch and train, Mobile Court in all ferry ghats for the sake of smooth vehicle operation and others were placed.  

Emdadul Haque Badsha, former director of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) said that the government has successfully implemented several types of development projects but could not ensure the security of general people.

Accidents in road and river are on rise. A social movement is needed against these, he added.
