8th Butterfly Fair inaugurated at JU

JU Correspondent: The eighth edition of the Butterfly Fair-2017 has been inaugurated on Zahir Raihan Auditorium premises on Jahangirnagar University campus.

JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the fair as the chief guest at about 11:00am on Saturday.

JU Zoology Department has been organising the fair as an annual event since 2010.

The Zoology Department has chalked out elaborate programmes, including drawing competition for children, photography exhibition, live butterfly display, kite flying competition for children, debate competition, and documentary exhibition on Butterfly and its Habitat.

This year the butterfly award will be given to a Japanese professor for his outstanding research works on butterfly.
