9 Shibir men held in Chattogram

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Police have arrested nine leaders and activists of Shibir from the city's Double Mooring and Patenga thanas.

This special operation was conducted on Friday night.

Police said the arrestees include Double Mooring Thana President Morshedul Alam and Secretary Touhidul Minhaj.

Jahidul Islam, assistant commissioner of Double Mooring zone, said that nine leaders and activists of Shibir were arrested as they gathered to commit sabotage.  Leaflets were found, and legal action will be taken against them.
