9 more dists to get rail service by 2022

Staff Correspondent: Railway Minister Mujibul Haque said that nine more districts-- Munshiganj, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Narail, Meherpur, Satkhira, Barisal, Bandarban and Cox's Bazar-- will be brought under the coverage of rail network by 2022.

The minister made the disclosure while replying to a query of ruling party lawmaker Morshed Alam in the Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday evening.

44 districts in the country are currently getting rail service, Mujibul said adding that the rest of the districts will be brought under the coverage of rail network by turns.
