Staff Correspondent: The results of this year`s Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Junior School Certificate (JSC) and their equivalent examinations were published on Monday showing 97.60 and 85.83 pass percentages respectively.


About 85.28 percent have passed Junior School Certificate (JSC) and 89.04 have passed Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC).

About 97.59 percent have passed Primary Education Completion (PEC) and 97.69 percent have passed Ebtedayee Examinations.

The results of JSC, JDC and Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations were handed to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban on Monday morning.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copy of results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations and Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman the copy of the results of PEC examination to the Prime Minister.

Later, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman announced the results officially in separate press briefings at their Ministry offices.

The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations were held from November 1 to November 15 with the participation of a total of 26,70,333 examinees.

This year's Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee Examinations for the fifth graders were held from November 18 to November 26 with the participation of total of 27,77,270 students
 
The results are available on websites of the education boards and the primary education department after the announcements.

Phone subscribers can access the results via SMS services as well.

A primary student will have to type ‘DPEThana/Upazila coderoll number2018’ and send the message to 16222 to get the result in a return SMS.
 
Ebtedayee students will have to type ‘EBT’ in place of ‘DPE’.
 
The JSC and JDC students will be able to check their results on the website of the corresponding education boards (www.educationboardresults.gov.bd).
 
To get the result through SMS, a JSC or JDC student will have to type ‘JSC or JDCfirst three letters of boardroll number2018’ and send text message to 16222.
