ACC grills AB Bank ex-chairman, MD

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is interrogating former chairman of AB Bank M Wahidul Haque and Managing Director M Fazlar Rahman on charge of money laundering.

ACC director Syed Iqbal Hossain and Assistant Director Gulshan Anwar Pradhan have started interrogation them around 9:00am at ACC headquarters on Thursday.

ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumbar Bhatta-charya confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

The watchdog will grill seven more top officials of the bank on December 31 and January 2 over the same case.

The AB Bank officials allegedly laundered money to Singapore through offshore companies in the name of investment. ACC director Syed Iqbal Hossain is investigation the overall matter.

Earlier on December 21, three directors of AB Bank, including its chairman M Wahidul Haque, had resigned.
