ACC rejects Bachchu's time petition

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is set to summoning former BASIC Bank chairman Sheikh Abdul Hye Bacchu over loan scandal.
On Sunday, Bacchu filed a petition seeking time for a month. But the watchdog body has rejected it.
ACC will issue a letter soon to ask him appearing before the anti-corruption body.
ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed this to risingbd on Tuesday.
The watchdog body will also take steps if Bacchu will not appear before it, he added.
Alongside, ACC has also taken decision to investigate into illegal wealth of Bacchu. For this, the anti-corruption body on Tuesday appointed its deputy director Shamsul Alam as investigation officer in this regard.
