AL leader shot dead in Badda

Staff Correspondent: A leader of the ruling Awami League (AL) was shot to death in the capital’s Badda area on Friday noon, just after Juma prayer.
The deceased was known as Farhad Ali, 45, general secretary of Baddan Union unit of Awami League.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Police and intelligence agencies cordoned the scene after the incident.
Kazi Wazed Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Badda Police Station, confirmed the news.
He said, “Miscreants shot Farhad at Ali intersection of Badda area after Juma prayer. He received two bullets and died on the spot.”
He, however, could not tell any motive behind the killing.
