AL’s rally begins in Sylhet

Staff Correspondent: The ruling Awami League (AL) has begun its rally on Government Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League president, attended the rally around 3:00pm.

Chanting slogans, the party leaders and activists from different parts of the city joined the rally to make it a success. The Alia Madrasa ground is now filled with the people supporting the party.

Earlier, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister landed at MAG Osmani International Airport at 10.40 am.

During the visit, she offered Ziarat at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA), Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) and Hazrat Gazi Borhan Uddin (RA) in the city.

She is expected to inaugurate 14 development projects and lay foundation stones of 24 others during her public address.
