ASP Mizanur Rahman's body found in capital

Staff Correspondent: Body of a police officer was recovered from Mirpur's Rupnagar area in the capital on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Highway police department's Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mizanur Rahman.

Police sources said that noticing a dead body in the area, locals informed police station. Later, police recovered the body around 11:00am. The victim was in civil dress.

Confirming the matter, Rupnagar police station (investigation) Officer-in-Charge Aktaruzzaman Elias told risingbd.com injury marks were seen the body.

"Primary investigation said that it would be a murder case. The motive can be known after proper investigation. The body will be sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy," he added.
