‘Acting CJ to be given all-out assistance’

Staff Correspondent: Law Minister Anisul Huq assured that acting Chief Justice (CJ) of the Supreme Court (SC) Md Abdul Wahhab Miah will be given all sorts of assistance so that he can discharge his duty properly.

The minister made the assurance while talking to reporters after an hour-long meeting with the acting chief justice at his private chamber on Thursday noon.

Anisul Huq said, “The law ministry works as a bridge between the judiciary and the executive. Earlier, I told the same with two former chief justices.”

Asked whether he will meet the chief justice who went on one-month leave due to illness or not, the law minister said, “I will certainly meet him after consulting with his doctors. But I cannot say specifically when I will meet him."
