Action to be taken against journo attackers: Kamal

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said action must be taken against journalist attackers.

He said, “A probe body has been formed over the issue. The committee will scrutinize the video footage of the incident and take measures against the cops who were involved in it.”

The Minister came up with the statement after opening a football tournament at Sakhipur in Tangail on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier he said police did not torture any journalist at Shahbag in the capital and termed it just a scuffling between them.

When asked over the statement he said, “That day, I told this as I was not aware of the incident. Now, actions will be taken against the offenders.”

“Police have a good relation with journalists,” he added.
