Actions if caesarean conducted unless necessary

Secretariat Correspondent: Director General of Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad said proper actions will be taken against people who will conduct caesarean operation if it is not urgent.

He came up with the statement at a press conference at the secretariat on Thursday noon.

He said, “There is an allegation that number of caesarean operations has been increased in the country. We also confess to the allegation. So, to resist the trend, we are providing a form to submit the patient details if it is urgent. Later, we will verify the information they will provide on the form. Actions must be taken if caesarean operation is conducted unless it is necessary.”
