Admission test fraudulence: 2 DU students expelled

Staff Correspondent: Two students of Dhaka University (DU) have temporarily been expelled for their alleged involvement in the admission test fraudulence.

The University authority took the decision in syndicate meeting on Sunday night.

DU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman confirmed the news.

The expelled students were identified as Mohiuddin Rana, student of Physics Department of the session 2011-12, and  Abdullah Mamun of Applied Chemistry Department of the session 2014-15.

Of them, Rana, identifying him as one of the key frauds of the group, was taken in remand in a case by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Rana was assistant secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) central committee. Later, he was suspended from the post after the allegation.

He was arrested with devices used in the fraudulence of the admission test from his own room of Shahidullah Hall of the university.
