Advance launch tickets from Aug 20

Staff Correspondent: Advance launch tickets will be available from Sunday (August 20) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest Muslim festival of the Muslims.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Chairman Commodore Mohammad Mozammel made the disclosure at a coordination meeting at Sadarghat terminal auditorium on Thursday.

He said, "Advance launch tickets will be available at all counters at Sadarghat terminal from 10:00am on August 20. Steps must be taken against those who will keep closed counters on the day or commit cheat with passengers."

He also strictly instructed all concerned with selling tickets to collect fare on government fixed rate.

"We arranged enough place for parking at least 400 vehicles at a time, 21 control rooms, a large passenger platform," he added.

Alongside, law enforcers will supervise every where the terminal, he said.
