Aid for Rohingyas: Media centre to be set up in Cox’s Bazar

Staff Correspondent: A media centre will be set up in Cox’s Bazar district administration complex with an aim to circulate information regarding providing humanitarian help for Rohingya refugees who have fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar to escape atrocities by its army.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting in this regard at the Prime Minister’s office on Wednesday with Kabir bin Anwar, director general (Admin) at Prime Minister's Office, in the chair.

The media centre, led by deputy chief information officer of Chittagong regional information office of the information department, will be conducted by a district information officer under mass communication department, the meeting said.

District information office Chittagong, upazila information office Lama and Potia media centre will help in discharging the duties if needed, it added.
