Akheri Munajat today

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: The first phase of Biswa Ijtema will be ended today with Akheri Munajat or final supplications seeking divine blessings for people and the Muslim Ummah.

Hafez Mohammad Zobayer, is expected to lead the supplication, Gazipur Metropolitan police commissioner Y M Belalur Rahman said.

People from all walks of life, including cabinet members, lawmakers, professionals and political leaders, are expected to join the Akheri Munajat before the Zohr prayers.

Gazipur Metropolitan police commissioner Belalur Rahman said innumerable devotees from home and abroad join the Munajat. That’s why traffic restriction is imposed in the area.



Sufficient security measures have been taken to ensure foolproof security. Some 10,000 law enforcers were deployed in Bishwa Ijtema.

Earlier, the Ijtema formally began with "ambayan" (general sermon) after Fazr prayers on February 15.
