Appeal for help

Staff Correspondent: Child Sabit, who has been suffering from blood cancer for last one year, is losing last ray of hopes to live as his father finds it almost difficult to bear the expenses of his treatment.

The three-year and two months old child is now undergoing treatment under Dr. Alamgir Kabir at Oncology Ward of Ibne Sina Hospital at Dhanmondi in the city.

Doctors say to continue treatment till June in 2019 to save his life. To complete the full treatment, Sabit needs more Tk 30 lakh.

Md. Hasibur Rahman, father of the child and a man of Muragachha village under Tala upazila in Satkhira district, is a teacher of a non-government school.

He has already spent Tk 15 lakh selling all belongings for his son's treatment. He is now not in a position to bear huge amount of treatment cost.

He has made a fervent appeal to the benevolent and affluent class of people and organisations to come forward with their helping hands to save the life of his son.
