Staff Correspondent: BNP backed mayoral candidate for Sylhet City Corporation polls Ariful Haque Chowdhury has met Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda.
Ariful Haque went to Agargoan Election office at 12:45pm and met the CEC at 1pm on Thursday.
EC sources said that Ariful Haque Chowdhury visited EC to share several kinds of irregularities in Sylhet City Corporation election.
On July 30, voting took place in Sylhet City Corporation. The BNP appears to be on the verge of a victory in the Sylhet mayor race, but a revote in two cancelled polling centres means it will have to wait some time for a confirmation.
