Aritree’s suicide: Edu Ministry writes RAB-Police for steps

Secretariat Correspondent: The Education Ministry has written letters to Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Police to take legal steps against three persons including Principal Naznin Ferdous over suicide of Aritree Adhikari.

The Ministry served the separate letters to RAB and Police on Wednesday, after the Minister Nurul Islam Nahid directed to suspend the three accused and to cancel Monthly Pay Order (MPO) of them at a press briefing at the noon.

The three-member probe committee formed by the Education Ministry found the three persons involved in provoking Aritree to commit suicide.

The other two accused are morning shift in-charge Zinnat Ara and class teacher Hasna Hena.

Aritree Adhikari, a Class-IX student, reportedly committed suicide at their Shantinagar residence in the city on Monday after allegedly being rebuked by teachers for using mobile phone during examination.
