‘Army to act with professionalism if get responsibility’

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed said the army will work with professionalism when they will be deployed in the 11th parliamentary elections.

The Chief of Army Staff made the opinion while addressing a parade programme at CMP center and school parade ground in Savar cantonment on Sunday noon.

He said that the army is always ready for the need of the country. The military force will carry out the responsibility in election using the past experience. 

“Bangladesh Armed Forces have an unparalleled role in the great liberation war. Subsequently, understanding the importance of the force, the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman expressed his opinion to build a modern force in the world. And the size of the Army is being increased to fulfill the dream following the direction of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

Major General Mohammad Akbar Hossain, GOC of 9 Infantry Division, principal staff and others attended the function.
