Ashkona bomb attacker’s autopsy done

Staff Correspondent: The autopsy of the attacker, who blew himself up at Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) camp in Ashkona, has been completed on Saturday.

Shohel Mahmud, head of forensic medicine department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, conducted the post-mortem examination around 11:00am.

Prodip Biswas and Sohel Kabir assisted the head of forensic medicine department during the autopsy.

After the autopsy, Shohel Mahmud said that the attacker died to the explosion. The attacker’s chest and abdomen were torn out in the blast.

Some electric wire, a belt and scotch tape found in the stomach, he added.

Earlier on Friday night, the suicide bomber sneaked into the RAB camp and blew himself up.
