Assistant teachers to be appointed as head master

Secretariat Correspondent: Primary and Mass Education Minister Mustafizur Rahman has said that about 65 per cent government primary schools in Bangladesh are currently without headmasters.

The goverment has decided that assistant teachers will  take the responsibility of the head teacher on the basis of seniority.

The minister told the reporters after a meeting at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

He said this decision has been taken for the interest of maintaining the quality of primary education and maintaining a proper environment and overall system.
