Staff Correspondent, CHITTAGONG, Apr 11: The Hefazat-e-Islam Secretary General Junaid Babunagari warned that the Atheist`s head would be cut off saying the Atheists could not stay in the country.

 

The Hefazat leader came up with the warning while he was speaking at a Resalat Conference at the Laldhigi Maidan in the port city on Friday afternoon.

 

“The Hindus, Christians and the Buddhists can stay here but the Atheists (nonbelievers) can not stay in the country,” the Hefazat Secretary added.

 

“We are not a political party. We are not carrying out our movement with any certain political issues. But our movement will be continued against those who are Atheists.” Babunagari also warned.

 

At this afternoon, after about one year of silence, Hefazat-e-Islam began a two-day pre-scheduled Resalat conference at the Laldhigi Maidan in the port city.

 

After the incident of Shapla Chattar on May 5, 2013, Hefazat-e-Islam taken huge preparations to make the program successful.

 

Hundreds of Qawmi Madrasah students and ulama-ulemas gathered there.

 

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) gave the permission for their program on conditions.
