‘Attempt to create anarchy in campus won’t be accepted’

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka University’s Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhteruzzaman has said, “The much expected Ducsu polls took place with the joint efforts of 440 colleagues including returning officer, senior staff. I’ve no right to show disrespect to their effort.”

The DU VC made the assertion while addressing reporters at his office on Wednesday noon.

He said, “A stable and peaceful academic environment is prevailing in the university campus. If anyone tries to create anarchy and chaos here then, the university authority won’t accept that.”

“The Ducsu polls result was the huge effort of all. It’s not possible to neglect that. It is not also possible for me to disrespect the outcome,” VC said.

Earlier this noon, leaders and activists of five panels met the VC and handed over a memorandum demanding fresh Ducsu election schedule in three days.
