Awami League earned Tk20.24 crore in 2017

Staff Correspondent: The ruling Awami League earned Tk20.24 crore last year (2017) and spent Tk13.63 crore, leaving it with a surplus of Tk6.61 crore, according to the party's annual financial report.

A delegation of Awami League, led by Awami League office secretary Abdus Sobahan Golap, submitted the financial report to the chief election commissioner on Tuesday.

After submitting the party's annual report, Abdus Sobahan Golap said, "The donations from party members and leaders, fees from members, and bank interests have been shown as the party's income source."

"And the salaries of employees, entertaining guests, rallies, party office building among others, have accounted for spending", he added.
