Ayub Bachchu to be buried in family graveyard Saturday

Staff Correspondent: Popular singer Ayub Bachchu, who passed away of cardiac arrest on Thursday morning, will be buried at the family graveyard in Chattogram on Saturday.

The singer’s younger brother Irfan confirmed the news to risingbd.

He said, “The first namaz-e-janaza for Ayub Bachchu will be held on the premises of High Court (HC) mazar on Friday. He will be buried at the family graveyard on Saturday. Please, you all pray for the departed soul of Bachchu bhai.”

According to the latest update, the late singer was given bath at the Square Hospital. Then, the body will be kept in the hospital mortuary.

According to family sources, Ayub Bachchu performed in a stage show in Rangpur on Wednesday night. He along with his team members arrived in Dhaka early Thursday. But Bachchu was feeling discomfort. He was rushed to the Square Hospital immediatey where doctors declared him dead.

Ayub Bachchu was born in Chittagong on August 16, 1962.

He started his music career there with the band Feelings in 1978.

From 1980 to 1990, he was a member of Souls as lead guitarist and finally in 1991, he formed his own band, LRB.

LRB released its first album as a double album, which contained hard rock songs like "Madhobi" "Hoker" "Sesh Cithi keno amon Cithi hoy" "Happy" and "Dhakar Sondha".
