Ayub Bachchu’s body taken at Shaheed Minar

Staff Correspondent:  The body of Ayub Bacchu has been kept at the Central Shaheed Minar so that people from all walks of life can pay respect to the legendary rock musician and guitarist.

The body was taken at the central Shaheed Minar around 10.15am and will be kept there till 12.30pm.

Later, a namaz-e-janaza of legendary rock musician and guitarist will be held at the National Eidgah after Jumma prayer.

Afterwards, the body will be kept in a hospital mortuary and will be flown to his ancestral residence in Chittagong on Friday night.

The rockstar will be buried at his family graveyard in the port city Saturday (Oct 20). 

Confirming the date, film maker Nasir Uddin Yusuf Bachchu said, the first namaj-e-janaza for Ayub Bachchu will be held on the premises of National Eidgah on Friday. He will be buried at the family graveyard on Saturday.

According to family sources, Ayub Bachchu performed in a stage show in Rangpur on Wednesday night. He along with his team members arrived in Dhaka early Thursday. But Bachchu was feeling discomfort. He was rushed to the Square Hospital immediatey where doctors declared him dead.
