BASIC Bank’s ex-chairman interrogated again

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has again interrogated former BASIC Bank Chairman Sheikh Abdul Hye Bachchu over a loan scam of nearly Tk 3.5 thousand crore.
A 12-memebr team of ACC led by ACC Directors Jaed Hossain Khan and Syed Iqbal Hossain began interrogation around 10.00am on Wednesday at the ACC headquarters.
ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter.
Earlier on Monday, the ACC team interrogated Sheikh Abdul Hye Bachchu over the loan scam.
ACC summoned former BASIC Bank chairman for interrogation nearly four years after ACC had started to investigate into the scam.
ACC served a letter to Bachchu to appear before it on December 4.
