BCB Academy Cup kicks off Sunday

Sports Correspondent: The maiden edition of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Academy Cup will begin on Sunday with vision to find out new talents from 32 private academies in Dhaka Metropolises area.

Ankur Cricket Academy will take on Clemon Indira Road Cricket Academy in the opener at City Club Ground in Mirpur following a scheduled opening ceremony.

The match will begin at 8:30am.

To materialise the dream of being the country’s future cricketer, aspirants of age in between 15-18 years will play in the tournament for their respective sides at three venues--Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), Dhaka University Playground and Dhaka City Club Ground. The tournament will end on June 5.

Some 15 to 20 players will be selected from the tournament for a five-week special training at BCB Cricket Academy in Mirpur.
