BCB announces reward of Tk 2cr for cricketers

Sports Desk: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a reward of Tk 6 crore for its cricketers to celebrate the historic first test win against the visiting Australia.

BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon came up with the announcement after beating Australia by 20 runs in the first test of the two-match test series in Dhaka on Wednesday.

After the historic victory against Aussies, Papon declared Tk 2 crore for the win. Apart from the cricketers, coaching staff will also get share of the prize money.

Meanwhile, Papon also announced another reward for the cricketers.

BCB Boss said, "BCB got 3.64 crore prize money from International Cricket Council (ICC) as Bangladesh qualified into the semi-final of the Champions Trophy in last June. The money will also be distributed among the cricketers."

The total reward of about Tk 6 crore will be given on Thursday, Papon assured.
