BCL activist hacked dead in Chattogram

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League (AL), has been hacked to death in a clash over a trifle matter Khiram union under Fatikchhari upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified a Mohammad Faisal, 22.

Police and local sources said a person attacked Faisal with a knife centering an altercation over a trifle matter on Sunday night, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Victim's maternal uncle Shahnewaz said two persons named Mona and Taher attacked Faisal following previous enmity.

Fatikchhari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Babul Aktar confirmed the matter.
