BCL factions clash at CU, 5 hurt

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Two Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) factions clashed at Chittagong University (CU) over altercation on Thursday noon, injuring five activists.
The clash ensued between Sixty Nine group and CFC group, both controlled by Chhatra League, when an activist of CFC group was beaten following an altercation.
Confirming the matter to risingbd.com, Md Akhtaruzzaman, in-charge of CU police outpost, said the clash took place between the two groups over beating a student at university railway station, leaving the five injured.
Police later took the situation under control, he added.
