BCL leader expelled over DU question leak

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has expelled its central assistant secretary Mohiuddin Rana for his alleged involvement in the admission question leakage of Dhaka University (DU).

Central BCL general secretary Zakir Hossain confirmed the news.

Rana was under custody of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) while the report was filed around 9:30pm on Friday.

He is a second year residential student of the DU's Physics Department.

Rana is popularly known as a supporter of central BCL secretary Zakir Hossain.

BCL general secretary Zakir Hossain said, "Anybody who is involved in any crime can be qualified as BCL leader. Mohiuddin Rana has been expelled immediately after he was his alleged involvement was emerged."

DU authority held Rana along with one of his associates from Shahidullah Hall on Friday morning, just before holding the "D" unit admission test. An electronic device was seized from their possession.

DU acting proctor professor Amzad Ali confirmed the news.
