BNP concerned over Khaleda Zia’s life

Senior Correspondent: BNP has expressed concern over the confined party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s life as the jail authority is not taking any initiative for her health and treatment.

The party also termed Health Minister’s speech on Khaleda Zia’s health as 'shameless falsehood.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed came up with the statement at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office in the capital on Wednesday noon.

He said, “The jail authority has still not implemented the suggestions including orthopedic bed which was made by the government medical board for BNP chief Khaleda Zia. She is getting no treatment in the jail. Khaleda Zia is being deprived of treatment which she had been taking for long days by her personal physicians.”

“It seems there is a deep conspiracy behind this by the government. We are very much concern over the life of BNP chairperson because of the manners conducted by the jail authority and the government and dilly-dally practices over her treatment,” he added.

“The stay of Khaleda Zia’s bail granted by the High Court (HC) is also a part of the conspiracy,” Rizvi said.

He also demanded immediate initiatives for BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s treatment by her personal physicians.
