BNP creating unrest to foil polls: Quader

Senior Reporter: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has alleged that BNP is trying to create unrest only to foil the upcoming parliamentary election.

The Awami League General Secretary came up with the allegation at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Thursday noon.

Referring to the vandalism at Naya Paltan where police vehicles were torched and several police were injured, he said “Through the vandalism, BNP further proved them that they are not in favour of the election.”

Quader said BNP demanded for deferring the polls only to foil the polls process. “If the BNP wants to participate in the polls, they must shun all the evil attempts.”

About the BNP’s demand for the deferment of upcoming parliamentary polls, he categorically said Awami League does not want to defer the date of polls even one hour.
