BNP gets permission for rally on 23 conditions

Staff Correspondent: BNP said it got permission from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) concerned to hold its public rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the city on 23 conditions.

The party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the disclosure in a press conference on Saturday noon.

Mirza Fakhrul said, "We've received the permission letter from the DMP a few minutes ago".

The conditions include: Refraining from showing any statement hurting religious sentiments, making any provocative statement, carrying out any anti-state, anti-peace activities, creating any obstacle to traffic, using loudspeaker without approved places, using rods and sticks with banners and festoons, entering the venue with processions and gathering on footpaths.

BNP Standing Committee member Babu Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Mirza Abbas, Vice-Chairman Abdulla Al Noman, Ahmed Azam Khan, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and others attended the programme.
