BNP leader Tariqul Islam no more

Senior Correspondent: BNP standing committee member and former minister Tariqul Islam passed away at a city hospital on Sunday (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi Rajiun).

He breathed his last around 5:00pm at Apollo Hospital in the capital. He was 78.

Tariqul, who had long been suffering from heart, kidney diseases, diabetic and old-age complications, died at Apollo Hospital around 5:00pm, said BNP Chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

He was admitted to Apollo Hospital in a critical condition some days ago and kept in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, Sayrul Kabir said.
