BNP places 4 conditions to join polls

Senior Correspondent: BNP has placed four conditions to participate in the upcoming general election issuing a warning that no election will be allowed to be held in the country without BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Four conditions placed by BNP are—Khaleda Zia will lead BNP in the upcoming general election; election must be free, fair and participatory; Sheikh Hasina must resign as prime minister and election must be held under a non-partisan caretaker government.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi placed the conditions at a press briefing held at the party's Nayapaltan central office in the capital on Sunday noon.
