BNP to name DNCC mayoral candidate Monday

Senior Correspondent: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the party is likely to announce the name of the mayoral candidate for the by-polls to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Monday night.

The BNP leader came up with the disclosure while addressing a press briefing at the party's Nayapaltan central office in the capital on Sunday noon.

The name of the mayoral candidate for the DNCC by-polls will be finally announced tomorrow after taking interview of the mayoral aspirants by the nomination board, Rizvi told the press briefing.

Those who are aspiring to become candidate can collect nomination papers till 4:00pm today and submit those papers by 4:00pm tomorrow to the party's Nayapaltan central office, he said.
