BNP top leaders in meeting over election

Senior Correspondent: Top leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have convened a meeting to discuss whether the party would participate in the 11th general election.

The meeting began at 5:15pm on Saturday at the party chairperson’s Gulshan political office.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Lt Gen (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr Abdul Moeen Khan, and Nazrul Islam Khan, among others, attended the meeting.

Following the meeting, meetings will also be held of 20-party alliance and Jatiya Oikyafront there.
