Bablu demands statement over question paper leaks in JS

Staff Correspondent, Jatiya Sangsad: Opposition lawmaker Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction over frequent question paper leaks in public examinations and demanded a statement from Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.

Bablu placed his question standing on a point of order in the Jatiya Sangsad after the Maghrib recess.

"I demand statement from the Education Minister under Section 300 of the Rules of Procedure for information on measures taken to prevent question paper leaks and mismanagement and actions taken against teachers involved in question papers leak," the Jatiya Party MP said.

Bablu said the government was taking examinations one after another at primary level, in class VIII, as well as SSC and HSC.

There is nothing more regrettable than leaking of question papers from primary level to university level, he said.

The leaks were happening frequently as education has turned into a 'business', Bablu alleged.

Bablu said teachers using technology sent images of question papers outside, and answers came back in from outside. This has been made possible due to technological progress.

In reference to some educationists’ remarks published in newspapers, the JP lawmaker said one of them said question papers were being leaked due to excess examinations.
